The pressure and flow differ in each stage of plastic injection. The RPM of the traditional oil pump motor is constant. so the redundant oil just overflows into the oil tank. consequently a lot of energy is wasted.

Servo motor injection moulding machines are able to control the RPM via control system, thus the hydraulic pressure matches the power required ensuring the quality of moulding with reduced energy consumption. Also a high sensitivity pressure feedback system helps to achieve optimum response close loop control.

The energy saving effect depending upon the product can be 30%-70%, longer cycle times offer the greatest potential savings.

The efficiency of the traditional electric motor is very low, and the power factor will contribute to the loss of energy. The servo motor is far more efficient and typically has a 10% better efficiency compared to traditional motors.

Without heat caused by oil bypass, the need for cooling water is reduced.
